My parcel was returned and no-one knows why
Live chat tried to help but seems their system has let them down. My parcel has been returned (I physically have it back) but at this stage no one knows why? Seems ridiculous they don't have that information. I was sending internationally and the cost for this is very high. As this stage they can't offer me a refund or a repost and they have no further information for me. They don't know how long it will take to find out why either...

WHAT A JOKE
what a joke....they give you a pacific time they will collect your parcel...then don't turn up and when you contact them all you are told is they can't guarantee the service what the hell I wouldn't buy a new tv without a guarantee so why sell a service without without one absolute joke

I will give Zero star if I could
I will give Zero star if I could. Delivered to wrong address and being refused. Then hold my item at the depot since 1/2/23. Contacted customer service, they become angry saying that I refused the item but it never come to me. Can't claim back as it is still being tracked (although still seeing at their depot). Terrible services

I have two missing parcels from one…
I have two missing parcels from one consignment, I have filled in the form online, but asked to wait 7 days before starting a claim, waited the said 7 days, still no parcels so started a claim, and asked to provide description and photos, and to wait another 7 days, done and waited, still no update or communication, spoke to delivery depot, very ignorant man, who could not help, and in fact told me that nobody had even opened or actioned my claim, he did give me the collection depot, spoke to a very nice lady, who promised a call back by today, no phone call, and no update online. Where are the customer service Team? How do I speak to someone who can help? Thank goodness I fully insured the items, and that I can rely on small claims court if I don’t hear anything back, but what a shame I have to waste my own time, trying to chase for basic information, extremely disappointed, and I certainly will not use again.

If you value the item you're sending, be warned - DPD Local DON'T!
If you value your item then please don't use these guys.

I sent a set of ceramics, very well packaged and cushioned, to an eBay buyer recently. They were boxed securely, wrapped individually in bubblewrap and separated and cushioned with shredded cardboard and other cushioning materials. I took out the DPD Local 'insurance' to the max value of £50 to cover any loss or damage, and sent off by dropping at one of their parcel shops.

Every one of the 6 Toby Jugs inside was smashed when the box was delivered to the buyer. Bad enough you'd think, but then they wriggle out of paying compensation as described as they say now that 'ceramics' are a 'prohibited item'.

I used DPD Local as they were one of the three carriers listed when the eBay sale completed, by eBay.

These guys are not only negligent and irresponsible in handling parcels, but read their small print VERY carefully if you think they will compensate you for anything they damage. They likely will wriggle out of that. I'd just avoid using them to transport anything you value and which might not work if they throw it about. Safer to find a more professional shipper. Good luck if you do decide to risk it - they're cheap, and the old adage applies - you get what you pay for.

This company is utterly useless DO NOT USE
This company is utterly useless. They have taken over 2 weeks to try and get a parcel to Denmark from the UK. The tracking system makes no sense, as it shows it both in Denmark, and in Oldbury at the same time. The online help sends you around in circles. The phone number for 'Customer Services' is automated which tells you even less than the web site, and then cuts you off. When I eventually managed to get hold of a human, she said she wouldn't help me 'because you booked it online' like I was being punished for that !

I haven't got any real issue with the parcel going astray. If you are shipping 1000s of parcels, I guess you are going to have issues occasionally, but the complete lack of customer service - or even actually caring, is inexcusable.

I will never use them for shipping anything ever again, and I suggest you don't either.

I feel I should add however, that 'Treb' who I eventually had a 'web chat' with, did give me the impression that he did try to track down what has happened to my parcel.

Reading other reviews on here, he (?) seems to get great reviews. Perhaps he should be promoted to see if he can sort the rest of the company out....

Jolanda did her upmost best to solve an ongoing problem with dpd local finding my missing parcel which disappeared mid December. I am aware that the final outcome is determined by other factors but Jolanda was certainly very helpful.
